Le Bouchon Sully

Owner : Julien Gautier
Before it was a Lyon bouchon, for 14 years Le Bouchon Sully was a Marseilles-style bistro called ‘Les Oliviers’, run by Olivier Canal. Well before that it was Mathieu Viannay’s very first place – the chef at La Mère Brazier, came to Lyon in 1998 and started a restaurant here. Now in the hands of Julien Gautier, who is owner and chef at the nearby M Restaurant, and Emmanuel Tachon-Foley, his Maitre d’, today the restaurant is writing a new chapter of its story. The menu offers specialities of Lyon cuisine, classic French home cooking, and seasonal specials. There’s also a weekly set meal for lunch and dinner. The desserts of the day, displayed on a blackboard, are steeped in childhood memories, and the decor, while being typical of the style, does not pretend to be as old as what you might see in one of Lyon’s more historic bouchons! Proud of its Lyon heritage, to which it has added a new approach, Le Bouchon Sully strives to create a warm, intimate atmosphere where you will enjoy your meal so much you will want to go back again and again!
