• Les bouchons lyonnais Garants de la tradition culinaire Lyonnaise
  • Le Comptoir de Léa

    Owner : Christian Têtedoie

For more than 30 years, the Le Comptoir de Léa restaurant has been welcoming its customers in one of the oldest buildings in Lyon, where it serves all the local specialities in warm, friendly surroundings - the ground floor décor ‘bistrot’ style while upstairs is more early 1900s. If you wanted to describe this legendary restaurant in just one word, then without a doubt the one to go for would be ‘sincerity’. First of all, sincerity in the decor, which has managed to retain the warm, friendly atmosphere created by Mother LEA in 1943, when she decided to create a place where her many customers could come and seek true nourishment, in other words food for both body and soul. And then, sincerity in the cooking, which endeavours to remain faithful to the generous origins of traditional Lyon cuisine. This is the best possible setting in which to enjoy a genuine Lyon-style salad, plump quenelles, dapper calf’s head, or a wonderfully crunchy bugne (doughnut shaped pastry). Depending on the season, you will also be offered game or a great French classic dish. Find this restaurant also on lyonresto.com
