• Les bouchons lyonnais Garants de la tradition culinaire Lyonnaise
  • Le Poêlon d'Or

    Owner : Yann Lalle

This bouchon is not just any old bouchon. Located right in the heart of Lyon’s Ainay district, in a building dating back to 1890, its ceiling has been classified a UNESCO world heritage site. Formerly a wine bar, it was converted into a bouchon some twenty years ago, but still has the original vast cellar! There is also a private salon, whose warm, traditional decor offers the perfect setting for a business lunch, special family dinner, or party. In 2010, Yann Lalle, a native Burgundian, took over from legendary Mère Lyonnaise and owner of the bouchon, Marie-Danielle Rheuter. The great chef, whose gastronomic education has taken him on a journey not just through France but much farther afield, to South America, the United States, and England, oversees the preparation of desserts, and keeps an eye on service in the restaurant. With the assistance of Mickaël Lorini, a young chef full of promise, he concocts delicious dishes such as artichoke hearts with foie gras, sweetbreads in Porto and baba au rhum, all of which will bring a smile to the face of foodlovers everywhere.
